Our goal at Blue Ridge Adventure Rentals is to provide an unforgettable experience that combines adventure, safety, and the beauty of Blue Ridge, ensuring every customer leaves with lasting memories. You are welcome to create your own itinerary, or you are welcome to follow along one of our favorite drives.
Tail of the Dragon
Time Required: 8-hour rental
Highlights: 318 curves in 11 miles, and lunch on the river
One of our favorite full day road trips begins going north on TN-68 to Tellico Plains, TN, then cut across the Cherohala Skyway to Robbinsville, NC where you can enjoy a good lunch on the river at the Tapoco Lodge. After lunch, drive up US 129 to the Tail of the Dragon. We encourage you to go both directions on the Tail of the Dragon to experience the 318 curves in 11 miles. Then you can drive back on US 129 towards the Nantahala through Murphy, NC before finishing in McCaysville, GA to drop off the rental.
Suches, Helen, Blairsville
Time Required: 4-hour rental
Highlights: Bavarian-style village Helen, GA
This 4-hour drive starts on GA-60 S towards Helen, GA via Suches. Grab a quick bite in Helen, or explore the area driving around town. For the return trip, you can drive through Blairsville, GA or head back the way you came.
Overnight Trips
Time Required: 24-hour rental
Our favorite cities to stay in overnight outside of Blue Ridge are Pigeon Forge, TN or Gatlinburg, TN. Both have beautiful scenic drives from Blue Ridge.
